Carl Edward Holden, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on December 6, 1937, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Carl lived a full and meaningful life marked by service, dedication, and love
Carl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before embarking on a successful career as Vice President of First Interstate Bank. He was deeply involved in his community, contributing his time and energy to the Boys and Girls Club, where he made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Carl was married to the love of his life, Ivy May Holden, on November 13, 1967. Together, they shared a beautiful marriage of over 50 years until Ivy’s passing on June 7, 2019. Their legacy continues through their four children: Sherryetta Hilliard, Carl Holden Jr., Craig Holden, and Carla Holden, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carl enjoyed planting roses, tropical vacations and tackling home improvement projects. He was also an animal lover who rescued and cared for numerous dogs and cats over the years, providing them with love and a safe home. His playful sense of humor brought years of laughter to those fortunate enough to know him.
Carl will be laid to rest on January 22, 2025 at Riverside National Cemetery. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his kind heart, unwavering dedication, and the joy he brought to their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carl’s memory to your local animal shelter or the Boys and Girls Club, organizations.
Forever in our hearts.
