In Loving Memory of
James Norden
Born August 15, 1923 – Passed away at home July 15, 2013.
Born and raised in Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, E. Africa.
He came to the USA to go to school to become a pilot and was drafted into the Army.
He served in the Korean War, after which time he became a Naturalized citizen.
He spent 15 years working in South America as a contracted helicopter pilot.
He relocated to Southern California and starting working in the airline industry; where he worked for American, United, Flying Tiger (when at FTL he was the IAM Union President) after working Fed Ex for a few years, retired in 1993.
He enjoyed fishing with friends especially after he bought his own boat. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, VFW and Moose Lodge
Survived by wife Barbara, son Brian (Denise), daughter Bonnie Dossey (Ron) grandchildren, Melissa Papp, Michael Papp, Nicole Norden, Tyler Norden, a brother and a sister and numerous niece’s and nephew’s.
The family will gather for a private graveside service on Friday July 19th.
