Ruby Williams Johnson

Ruby Williams Johnson passed away to the Lord on November 13, 2013 at age 90, just one day before her 91st birthday. She was born in Nebraska on November 14, 1922 and was a resident of Hawthorne for 65 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Paul, who passed in April of this year and her daughter, Paula Ahlvin in 2011. She is survived by her three sons; Roger, Dennis and William (Billy) Johnson and their wives Rena, Laurie and Julie; and her brother, Gary Williams. She had six grandsons, Michael, Jeffery, Paul, Steven, Brian, and Bradley; five granddaughters, Carrie, Jillian, Holly, Ruby, and Claire and 10 great-grandchildren. Ruby loved God, her family, and being the ultimate hostess, with a smile that could light up a room. She had unconditional love, always staying up to date in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 22nd at 1 p.m. at Douglass & Dunaway Mortuary, 4286 West Broadway, Hawthorne, CA 90250.
